Bombardier’s C Series family of aircraft, which brings together a fusion of performance and technology, is a 100 per cent all-new design that offers operators new benefits with substantial savings. In addition to delivering best-in-class economics, Bombardier has placed considerable emphasis on cabin design to ensure an excellent passenger experience. The C Series aircraft’s larger seats, overhead bins and windows create a widebody feel that offers passengers unparalleled comfort. Bombardier’s product innovation life-cycle process – from the design and manufacture of the aircraft to its end-of-life – was applied throughout the development of the C Series family of aircraft to minimize the airliners’ impact on the environment.

Kahina Oudjehani, Bombardier’s leader in eco-design, shares their Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and the C Series aircraft.

The EPD is a document that is based on verified life-cycle analysis (LCA) data. It summarizes and communicates clear and comparable information about the environmental impact of a product at each phase of its life cycle.

The external validation of the EPD was carried out by independent verifiers approved by the technical committee of the international EPD® system.
