Alongside the Convention's 193 Member States and global aviation organizations, ICAO works to develop international Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) which States reference when developing legally-enforceable national civil aviation regulations. Through the SARPs, today’s global air transport network is able to operate close to 100,000 flights, safely, efficiently and securely in every region of the world on a daily basis.
